1. Information We Collect
We collect personal account information (name, email address, phone number), pet profile details, high-precision GPS sighting coordinates, and uploaded images.
2. AI Visual Vector Processing
When you upload pet photos, Google Cloud Vertex AI (multimodalembedding@001) processes the image to generate a 1,408-dimensional numerical float vector stored in our database. This embedding is used exclusively to compute visual similarity scores between lost pets and sightings.
3. Location Data & Geolocation
Geographic coordinates from sighting reports and lost pet locations are stored in Firestore to enable radius-based search queries and community notifications. Your exact location is never sold to third parties.
4. Stripe Payment Processing
PetFA integrates with Stripe for secure payment processing and subscription management. Payment card numbers, CVCs, and sensitive financial credentials are sent directly to Stripe and are never stored on PetFA servers. Stripe handles all transaction data under PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance.
5. Data Storage & Security
Data is securely stored in Google Firebase Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage, protected by strict Firebase Security Rules, encryption at rest, and transport layer security (TLS).
6. Your Data Rights & Contact
